Three skeletons were recovered from underneath the floor of a house in Haryana’s Panipat on Tuesday.

According to cops, the skeletons were recovered from Panipat’s Shiv Nagar, when its occupant began some construction work on the ground floor of the house.

“The skeletons were recovered from a house, where the present occupants have been living for nearly two-and-a-half years,” deputy Superintendent of Police Satish Vats said.

He added that forensic tests will now be done to understand how old the skeletons are.

When asked about the preliminary investigation, the DSP said: “One thing is clear that the three people were murdered and buried under the ground floor. We have registered a case under IPC Sections 302 (murder) and 201 (causing disappearance of evidence).”
