Police raided a warehouse in Kaliadeh Mahal village of Bhairavgarh police station area late on Saturday night. 12 cans filled with acid were found in the godown, which were confiscated by the police. The owner of this warehouse is a person named Rakesh Mukati. Rakesh’s brother Jitendra is an accused in the spurious liquor scandal that took place in October last year. Police is on the lookout for Rakesh. TI Satnam Singh said that on Saturday night, information was received that near the closed soap factory in Kaliadeh Mahal village, there is a godown of Rakesh Mukati, brother of Ginger Case accused Jitendra Mukati. There is dangerous acid kept there. The police conducted raids on the spot. When the warehouse was locked, the policeman reached the roof of the warehouse from the nearby soap factory and went down and found 12 cans full of acid in the warehouse.

It is being told that the can was filled with sulfuric acid, the police have confiscated the acid. Police say that Rakesh Mukati escaped from the spot. The police have also registered a case against him under other sections including the Poison Act. Acid test is being done there. The police is also investigating at this point for what purpose this acid was being used.

14 people died

It is noteworthy that in October 2020, 14 people died in Ujjain after consuming spurious liquor. A total of 18 people, including 4 policemen, were made accused in this case. Among them was Jitendra Mukati. After the liquor scandal, the then SP of Ujjain Manoj Singh was transferred.
