Attack on team for vaccination of Kovid in Malikhedi village of Ujjain

Ujjain, (New World Representative) Ujjain News On Monday, some people attacked the party which had come for vaccination in village Malikheri of Unhel tehsil. Health workers involved in the team somehow escaped after saving their lives. After the incident, SDM and SDOP reached the spot and handled the situation. People said that people are dying from vaccination, we should not get the vaccine. The officials explained to the villagers.

According to the information, the health department team from Mobile reached the Malikheri vaccination on Monday morning with a mobile van. The team consisted of Naib Tehsildar Anu Jain, ASHA worker Vaccinator and other employees. Health workers refused to come when people called for vaccination. Also asked the team to leave the village. When Panchayat Secretary Reshmabai’s husband Shakeel Khan began to explain the benefits of the vaccine, the people of Pardi community attacked him with sticks. On the persuasion of the party, some men and women attacked the party with stones. After the attack, the people involved in the team fled from there and saved their lives. On receiving the information, the police officers arrived at the village with the force and handled the situation.

SDM and SDOP arrived in the afternoon

After the incident, SDM Ashutosh Goswami reached the village at 1 pm and inquired about the incident. The officials told the villagers that vaccination is for your benefit. There will be no harm to anyone. After this, the health staff vaccinated the villagers in the presence of the police force.

SDM Goswami said that the team has already gone once in the said village. The villagers were not getting vaccinations due to the confusion. On Monday too, the villagers were being advised to get vaccinated by the team when the assistant secretary’s husband was attacked by some person. Administrative and police teams reached the spot and a case has been registered against the concerned under Section 353 and other sections. Additional Superintendent of Police, Rural Akash Bhuria said that two persons were arrested for the attack.
