Burhanpur (Naiduniya Representative). The employees of banks have gone on a two-day strike from Monday in protest against privatization. More than a hundred branches of the district’s 13 banks were locked on Monday. Stayed. About four thousand employees of banks are protesting by gathering in small groups. With the strike of banks, ATMs of most of the banks were also not working on Monday. Customers kept trying to transact with them throughout the day, but got disappointed. Union’s Arjun Ahire, Rakhi Kakad, Sunil Bari, Sunil Meena, Pramod Mahajan and others were present during the demonstration.

Due to this, he did not buy food grains from the farmers on Monday. Traders say that seven sacks of gram of Shantinath Traders operator Nilesh Patil were stolen from Mandi on Saturday night by unknown youths. In the CCTV footage, the miscreants are seen carrying the sacks. Even before this, food grains have been stolen from the Mandi premises many times, but the Mandi administration is not making concrete security arrangements. The farmers who brought the produce remained troubled throughout the day due to the traders not participating in the auction. On receiving information about the theft, Shikarpura police station in-charge Vikram Singh Bamnia also reached the spot. After taking stock, he assured to increase night patrolling in the area. After which the traders agreed to participate in the auction from tomorrow.
