Bhopal News: Business in new vegetable stalled after shifting at Sehore naka

Bhopal News: Sant Hirdaram Nagar, Navdunia representative. As soon as the Sant Kanwarram vegetable market located in the middle of Bairagarh market is shifted to Sehore Naka area, the business in the market is very less. In fact, hand cart traders are doing vegetable business from place to place in Bairagarh market, due to which people are not going to the main market. Due to the non-construction of Hawkers Corner, the handcart businessmen are not able to settle.

Eight years ago, the Municipal Corporation demolished the Sant Kanwarram vegetable market built in the middle of the main road and demolished the Sehore Naka. Mandi was constructed on Bhavani Marg. The vegetable traders at first opposed the shifting, but on the condition of providing basic facilities in the new market, the traders shifted to the new market, but the municipal corporation did not fulfill their promises. The construction of the shed inside the mandi was also delayed. Hawkers Corner was built but the settlement of hand carts could not be completed. Recently, the Minister in charge of the district, Bhupendra Singh had announced the construction of Hawkers Corner, but this work has not started yet.

Vegetable business on the road itself

Large parts of Adarsh Marg and the opening part of Punjab National Bank Road have remained undeclared vegetable market for a long time. While the business in the main vegetable market has come to a standstill due to the vegetable carts standing here, the traders of this route are also troubled by the frequent road blockade. According to the businessmen of the area, the traffic system has deteriorated due to the handcarts on the road. Vehicular movement has been affected on both the routes. There is a traffic jam several times a day. Traders have complained about this many times to the encroachment staff of the Municipal Corporation, but the corporation has never taken serious action. Harish Meherchandani, general secretary of Sabzi Mandi Union, says that vegetable traders standing in all areas of Bairagarh should be organized by making hawkers corner.
