Bhopal, Navdunia Representative. Freezer of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) mortuary last has been spoiled for days. The management has refused to keep the dead bodies here. Due to this, relatives are facing problems. The relatives of the dead who are waiting for the arrival of relatives, they apply to keep the dead body here. But the management is also sending them away after giving their bodies. AIIMS management says that this situation has arisen due to a fault in the central compressor. But instead of giving a direct answer if the technical fault is not rectified for three weeks, there is talk of the management being out of the engineer.

immediate post-mortem, take the dead body soon

The freezer in AIIMS mortuary has 12 compartments which are cooled by a single compressor. On June 4, when the compressor failed, the whole system collapsed simultaneously. Instead of making immediate corrections amid the sultry heat, the management wrote on the board that there was no dead body storage facility due to the failure of the freezer. On the other hand, the dead bodies of the patients or injured who are dying in AIIMS are also being asked to take them to the relatives after post-mortem on the same day, in such a situation, even after requesting to take out the dead body or keep the dead body for any other reason, the relatives are not able to do so. are. Nearly every day 10 dead bodies reach the AIIMS mortuary, including the hospital and its surroundings. Due to the absence of freezer in the mortuary, the freezer available in the Department of Anatomy is being used, but this system is internal, which is being used in special circumstances.

A compressor of the freezer in the mortuary is not working. Because of this the dead bodies are not being kept. This information has been given in writing to the patients and their relatives in advance. The engineers were out, so the compressors could not be repaired. It is being fixed soon. Keeping dead bodies outside is not allowed in AIIMS.
