In protest against the continuous increase in the prices of petrol and diesel and rising inflation, the Congress party is protesting at petrol pumps across the country today. In the same connection, demonstrations were organized by the district unit of Congress in the capital Bhopal also. At 11 o’clock in the morning, Congress leaders and workers reached different petrol pumps of the city to protest. During this, safe physical distance was not seen anywhere from their side.
As soon as former Chief Minister and Rajya Sabha member Digvijay Singh participated in the demonstration of District Congress Committee at Nanke Petrol Pump in New Market, the workers surrounded him from all sides. Digvijay Singh was involved in this demonstration from 11:15 am to 11:45 am and surrounded the Modi government at the Center regarding inflation. Digvijay Singh said that the prices of petrol and diesel are increasing continuously and the central government is sitting on its hands. At the same time, neither the Modi government of the Center is saying anything on the rising inflation, but the Shivraj government of the state. It is becoming difficult for the common people to live. A large number of Congressmen including former minister PC Sharma, District Congress Committee President Kailash Mishra, labor leaders of Govindpura assembly constituency Deepak Gupta, Praveen Saxena, Yogendra Guddu Chauhan were present in this protest. Congress workers kept raising slogans against Modi and Shivraj government with placards in their hands. They kept demanding from the central and state government to reduce the prices of petrol and diesel and edible oils.
Apart from this, Congressmen also demonstrated at Kolar’s Bima Kunj petrol pump, Lalghati and other places, but the adherence to safe physical distance was nowhere to be seen.
