Corona Curfew in Jabalpur: Corona curfew extended till May 24 in Jabalpur

Jabalpur, AboutGyan Representative. Corona curfew has been extended till May 24 in Jabalpur in view of corona infection. Collector and District Magistrate Karmaveer Sharma amended the order of Corona curfew issued earlier by May 17 as per the decision taken in the District Disaster Management Committee meeting and directed by the State Government to extend it till 6 am on May 24. Sunday orders have also been issued in this regard.

Earlier, in a virtual meeting of the District Disaster Management Committee chaired by MP Rakesh Singh on Sunday morning, it was decided to send a proposal to the state government to increase the Corona curfew in the district by May 31 to control the corona infection. After approval, orders were issued to increase the Corona curfew by 24 May till evening.

In the virtual meeting, all the members of the District Disaster Management Committee appreciated the efforts being made in the district for the prevention of corona. Members said that it is the result of these joint efforts of the general public, public representatives and administration that control over the infection has been achieved to a great extent.

The members particularly appreciated the efforts made for the prevention of corona infection in rural areas. Members said that as a result of this, rural areas have seen better results than the city and the rate of infection is also lower than in the city. The members hoped that these efforts being made in unison will soon help in curbing the corona and the district will be free from infection.

In the virtual meeting of the District Disaster Management Committee, the work of applying corona vaccine and maintaining the supply of injections and medicines needed for the treatment of black fungal disease was also discussed.

MP Rakesh Singh called the suggestions given in the meeting for prevention of Corona infection important and called upon the people to remove the misconceptions spread in the rural areas regarding the Corona vaccine. He informed that efforts are being made at every level from the administration to the adequate supply of necessary injections in the treatment of black fungus disease and their shortage will be removed soon.

At the beginning of the meeting, Collector Karmaveer Sharma threw light on the present situation of the corona in the district and informed about the steps being taken to control the infection. Shri Sharma informed that the new cases of corona have been steadily decreasing and positivity rate has been decreasing for the last 18 days in Jabalpur district as a result of the strategy made for prevention of corona on the suggestion made in the meetings of Disaster Management Committee from time to time. It has come down from 29 to 10 to 11 percent. The recovery rate has also increased from 78 to about 89 percent. In the meeting of the Disaster Management Committee, it was also suggested to clarify the new protocol for the second dose of corona vaccine so that there is no confusion about it in the general public. CMHO Dr. Ratnesh Kurria, associated with the meeting, said that the second dose of Corona Vaccine Covishield will now be placed 84 days after the first dose. Guidelines have been received in this regard from the government. The drive emphasized drive-in-vaccination to speed up Corona vaccination.
