For example, if the target is to vaccinate one lakh people every day for those above 44 years, then the new beneficiaries will be only 30 percent, the rest will be the second to get dosed.

State Immunization Officer Dr. Santosh Shukla said that the first dose cannot completely stop vaccination. If an elderly beneficiary comes to the center, how can he refuse it for vaccination, but the priority will be those who get the second dose. Those who do not have a second dose at any center remain and the vaccine is saved only then the first dose will be vaccinated. Amongst those who get the second dose, the first priority will be for those coming online by booking.
