DAVV Indore: University will make rules for dual degree or diploma simultaneously

DAVV Indore: Indore (Naiduniya Representative). Under the National Education Policy, now students can get double degree at one time. Will be able to do it. The academic programs will include degree, diploma and certificate courses. Where students have to take regular admission in a course, in which they can attend classes and study. Whereas they will be exempted to do the second course from online and distance education institutions.
Now the University Grants Commission has issued instructions to universities and distance education institutions across the country. After receiving the letter from UGC, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya has started discussions regarding this. However, it has been said to make rules regarding dual degree courses.

NAAC A-Plus grade Devi Ahilya University is a distance education institution. It currently offers only MBA, courses in energy management, whereas diplomas in many areas related to management and courses like BA, B.Com and MA have been approved two years ago to start distance education.
The university is also considering starting these soon. DAVV is also linked to online courses conducted on the UGC’s SWAYAM portal. So far, more than forty certificate courses have been created and uploaded. On the other hand, other courses are being run from Deendayal Upadhyay Kendra including landscaping, interior decoration, cargo management, nutritional food.

University is ready for dual degree program. Soon this issue will be placed in the Executive Council. After discussion with the members, we will implement the program till the next session. By the way, the university is considering to conduct many new courses in distance education. Will soon give admission in online MBA as well.
