Indore, Naiduniya Representative Diesel Price Hike Indore. Bus operators are upset due to the continuous increase in the price of diesel. Since the last time the fare was increased, since then 33 the price has increased by Rs. Now the bus operators are hoping to recover from the losses due to the expectation of increase in the rides in the festive season. Rising prices have broken the back of bus operators. People are already traveling less due to Corona. Due to this, there is a problem of shortage of passengers in the buses which are running. After this, the price of diesel has been increasing continuously. Every day we have to withdraw more money for diesel, due to which the operating expenses are increasing. Not only this, the salary of the driver and conductor, tire cost, maintenance, toll tax, insurance, fitness, permit is the cost which has to be paid continuously.
Due to this the profit of bus operators has reduced considerably. At the same time, some bus operators have reduced the number of their buses significantly. They are now running buses to maintain the name of their business that has been going on for years. The rest have surrendered the permits of the remaining buses. We had appealed to the government to waive the tax for the three months of April, May and June, but after the oral consent of the Chief Minister and the Transport Minister, the decision and final order has not come till now.
Due to this there is anger among the bus operators, not only this, when the government increased the fare of buses. The rate of diesel at that time 82 or 2019 were rupees, but now this rate has reached 100. A lot of trouble has come in front of us like this. We are constantly writing a letter to the government, apprising us of our problem. But the government is not understanding our problem.
