The old Cantonment Police Station on Friday night arrested three men, including a young man, who was carrying raw and country liquor quarters on a bike to sell illegal liquor in the Corona curfew. Police recovered illicit liquor worth Rs. 30,000 from the accused. The police has also traced the addresses of the accused to bring illegal liquor during interrogation.

The old cantonment station in-charge Sudhir Singh Kushwaha said that on Saturday night, it was reported that three people from the bike were bringing illegal liquor for sale in the area. On this information, to check illegal liquor, a checking point was set up in Bilpur, near Jigsoli. Police saw three bikes coming in the dark. The bike riders had attempted to flee with a U-turn on their vehicles after seeing the police. The three vehicles were unable to escape due to loading of cans and quarters loaded with illegal liquor. Police caught all three including the car. On opening the cane, raw liquor was found in them. Quarters were filled in the sack. Police have seized two cans of raw liquor and 170 country liquor quarters from the possession of the accused.
