Indian Institute of Technology Indore: Indore, Naidunia Rep. The education of higher educational institutions of the country has also been affected due to the Corona epidemic. Classes are also being affected in Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore for one year. Many students and teachers in the institute have been infected. Due to this, the education of students is being done online since the last lockdown. There is a hostel for students in the IIT Indore campus itself. Most of the students are studying here.
Now IIT officials are contemplating to organize regular classes. With the infection rate low, classes are expected to start again in July. There are also many students who have gone to their homes and are joining online classes from there. Such students will also be called back by the institute. Due to the lack of regular classes, the most worrying thing was that most of the subjects in engineering are practical, so the visits of students to the lab were also reduced.
Work was also going on at a slow pace on many types of project work. Keeping all these things in mind, preparations have started to invite the students to the classes. Along with IIT Indore, IIM Indore and the city’s SGSITS Institute have also started strategizing for regular classes, although the institutes do not want to take any kind of risk, so students will be called for classes only after some time.
Dr. Rakesh Saxena, Director, SGSITS, says that we have made a better system for online classes, but studying in regular classes gives more benefit. Due to this we are trying to announce the date of regular classes after few days. Regular stay of students has a great impact on placement and practical knowledge. Students get a chance to be involved in many new activities.
