Bhopal (Navdunia Representative), Juda Strike MP. The strike of junior doctors going on in six medical colleges of the state including Gandhi Medical College Bhopal has ended. JUDA has decided to end the strike after meeting Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang at 2 pm on the intervening of Sunday and Monday. However, the government has not accepted JUDA’s demand to increase the honorarium up to 24 percent. Juda has said that in respect of the direction of the High Court, the strike has been called off. JUDA State President Dr. Arvind Meena has confirmed to end the strike. Juda had been agitating since May 31 for six demands. There are junior doctors in Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Rewa and Sagar in the state where the strike was going on. The biggest demand of Juda was the increase in honorarium up to 24 percent. The government has accepted the demand for an increase of up to 17 percent on the basis of consumer price index. There was no consensus between Juda and the government on this issue. While hearing a public interest litigation on Friday, the High Court Jabalpur had asked Juda to end the strike within 24 hours, but Juda continued the strike by giving a mass resignation.

– Honorarium should be increased by 24 percent for the first, second and third year from 55 thousand to 68200, from 57 thousand to 73160, from 70680 and 59 thousand respectively. Every year 6% increment should be levied in the honorarium.

– Juda officials had resigned collectively. After this, the Dean of the respective colleges had asked to resign duly by depositing the fixed bond amount to leave the seat.
