Kansa Vadotsav: Mohit Vyas, Shajapur. Due to the unique event to be held on the tenth day of Kartik month, a square of the city has been named Kansa Chauraha. Actually 269 a unique tradition is being played in the city for years. Here after Diwali, Kansa Vadotsav is organized on the tenth day of Kartik month. This program takes place in Shajapur apart from Mathura, the birth place of Shri Krishna. In the event, the army of Kansa and Krishna fiercely fight with each other. After this, Kansa is killed by Shri Krishna. Tomorrow also this event will be held in the city, for which preparations have been completed.
Initially this event was held in a subtle form in the Govardhan Nath temple complex located in Somwariya area. In which only a few people were involved. But day by day citizens got involved in this event. In place of the ancient temple, now the luxurious mansion of Govardhan Nath has been built. This event has now become the identity of the crossroads and people now know this intersection as Kans crossroads. Municipality President Prem Jain says that my age is 33 years. Ever since I regained my senses, the venue of Kans Vadhotsav has been known and heard as Kans Chauraha. Napa has also been bearing the expenses of this event for the past several years.
