The main event on Mahashivratri is being held at Kayasthapura, the ancient Shri Badwale Mahadev Temple in old Bhopal. From here at ten.30 in the morning, Baba Shri Bateshwar came out with a procession to get married with Maa Parvati. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang, Congress MLA and former minister PC Sharma, former Mayor Alok Sharma and many other dignitaries from the city became a part of the procession of Baba Bateshwar. Earlier, CM Shivraj Badwale reached the Mahadev temple and duly worshiped Bholenath. During this, his wife Sadhna Singh also appeared with him. Riding on Nandi on a silver chariot, Baba Shri Bateshwar was seated in the form of a groom. After duly worshiping, CM Shivraj pulled the chariot and carried the procession forward. A large number of devotees participate in Shiv Barat. Baba Bateshwar’s baraat is marching ahead, chanting ‘Bam-Bam Bhole’ with gaiety. There will be a garland program of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati in Somwara Maa Bhavani Temple (Mother with Curfew).

Sanjay Aggarwal and Pramod Nema, convenor of Shri Badwale Mahadev Mandir Seva Samiti Trust, told that Maa Bhavani Mandir will reach Somwara via Barat Sindhi Market, Jawahar Chowk, Jumerati, Hanumanganj, Mangalwara, Itwara, Chintaman Chowk, Savarkar Chowk and Lakherapura.
