Indore (AboutGyan Representative). More than 600 medical workers from Indore engaged in the care of Corona patients went on strike on Tuesday with their demands. This affected the care and other essential work of the infected people at MTH Hospital, SGSITS Control Room and Maa Ahilya Kovid Care Center. Tuesday was the first day of the state-level indefinite strike. Before the strike under the banner of Kovid-19 AYUSH Dental Association, the organization officials had worked by tying a black strip to the memorandum demanding the demands. Members say that when their demands were not considered, a decision was taken to go on a forced strike. The union demands that they be merged with the contract workers. Contract workers have been working for one and a half years.
When the corona patients are low, the government removes them and when the patients increase, they are called to the job. This does not bring stability and security to their lives. The union says that contract workers should be paid like contract workers, because they are equivalent to education in every way. Contracted workers in other states are getting more salary than Madhya Pradesh. The union’s Dr. Dinesh Sadhwani, district in-charge Dr. Neeraj Yadav and Dr. Shivapratap Yadav said that the strike did not work in MTH Hospital, Kovid Control Room and Maa Ahilya Care Center. In the care center, only four MBBS doctors handled the patients.
Fever clinics are closed: Organization members said that due to the strike, the work of sending the infected to home isolation or sending them from home to a care center or hospital could not be done. Sampling could not be done due to the closure of the Fever Clinic. The Rapid Response Team also did not work on Tuesday. Ayush Doctor (Homoeopathic-Ayurvedic), Nursing Staff, Paramedical Staff, Dentist etc. were included. All performed at the CMHO office, care center and control room. The CMHO asked the workers on strike to return to work. Your demands have been taken to the governance level.
