Under this, pre-monsoon activities have intensified. According to meteorologists, in view of the current situation, the southwest monsoon may register an influx this time before the scheduled date. On the other hand, a low pressure area is going to form in the Bay of Bengal on June 11. Due to the effect of this system, heavy rains are likely to start in the districts of Jabalpur, Shahdol, Hoshangabad, divisions of the state including the capital from June 12.

Mamta Yadav, senior meteorologist of the Meteorological Center said that the monsoon, which progressed from the Arabian Sea, made its presence in many states of the north-east. Monsoon has reached Bagdogra in the Bay of Bengal. Strong southwesterly winds are blowing over the Arabian Sea region and over the Bay of Bengal. Due to this, the conditions have remained quite favorable for further advance of monsoon.

Monsoon is likely to cover the remaining parts of Maharashtra in the next two-three days. On the other hand, a low pressure area is going to form in the Bay of Bengal on June 11. As soon as this system advances, the monsoon will start moving through Jharkhand, Orissa, Chhattisgarh. Due to the effect of this system, from June 12, the process of heavy showers is likely to start in Madhya Pradesh as well.

Particularly in the districts of Jabalpur, Shahdol, Hoshangabad, Bhopal divisions, there may be heavy rains from June 12 to 15. Ajay Shukla, former senior meteorologist of the Meteorological Center said that at present, upper air cyclones remain in Assam, Gujarat. Along with this, moisture is also coming continuously from the Arabian Sea. Due to which the process of rain and thundershower continues in the state. These activities are likely to accelerate further.

According to Shukla, the enhanced monsoon from Arabian Sea is likely to cover entire Maharashtra within three days. Because of this, there is every possibility of monsoon entering MP before the due date. The date of arrival of monsoon in MP has been fixed as June 16. The date of monsoon in Bhopal has been fixed as June 20.
