Chhindwara Wheat procurement is being done continuously in the district, farmers are reaching 120 procurement centers with their produce. As the speed of wheat sale is increasing, payments are also being made in the accounts of farmers. So far, more than three hundred crore rupees have been paid by the cooperative bank in the accounts of more than 24 thousand farmers. Payment is reaching farmers’ accounts, after which farmers are now withdrawing money after reaching the bank. The number of farmers reaching the bank is constantly increasing, due to which the banks are getting crowded, physical distancing is not being followed outside the banks. Farmers are now facing problems in getting money. Due to the fact that most farmers do not have ATMs, they are reaching the bank branch. In such a situation, the system is deteriorating, fewer employees are working in the banks, in such a situation, many times farmers have to return without getting money.

– 20 lakh quintals of wheat purchased from 30 thousand farmers

Wheat procurement is going on in 120 procurement centers set up for procurement of wheat at support price in the district. Wheat is being procured by women self-help groups in 11 centers. So far, 20 lakh quintal wheat has been purchased from 30 thousand 49 farmers in the district. Collector Saurabh Suman is constantly keeping an eye on procurement centers

92 percent grain transport

There are some disturbances in the procurement centers, while the government is claiming that 92 percent of the procured so far has been transported. If more has been purchased, then there is a heap of grain there. The weather is constantly changing, so there has been rain. Thousands of quintals of wheat were drenched in the procurement center of Amarwada. Many times farmers are getting upset due to lack of gunny bags and have to wait for two to three days.
