It is mentioned that, Collector Shivam Verma 26 ordered on March The transportation of straw has been banned for the next 5 months. Despite this, straw is being sent from the district to Rajasthan, UP and other cities. Vehicles loaded with straw were passing in front of the police post during the night. Majority of the population in the district is dependent on agriculture and animal husbandry. There are 5 lakh 50 thousand domesticated cattle in the district. The number of cattle is less than the human population of the district by about one lakh. The supply of fodder for cattle largely depends on wheat straw. Still, every day, trucks and tractor-trolleys were going to Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh apart from the state by filling chaff. On this, the SP has directed the Sesaipura, Virpur, Samarsa outpost police to be strict on Friday. Following the instructions of the SP, straw tractors were going from Sheopur to Sawai Madhopur on Friday night, which the police stopped by putting a checking point at night.

The Dehat and Samarsa outpost police took this action from 3 pm to 8 am on Saturday night. An FIR has been registered against all the above accused for violating the order of Collector Shivam Verma.

The straw will not be allowed to go out of the district. We have issued instructions to all the station in-charges to take strict action. Today, a case has also been registered against half a dozen people for illegal transportation of straw.
