Unlock Indore News: Indore. New Zealand Representative. Cantonment and Laxmibai Nagar mandis have started from Friday after the Corona curfew. On the first day, about 7 thousand quintals of produce came in both the mandis. In this, 5 thousand in Cantonment Mandi and 2 thousand quintals of produce came for sale in Laxmibai Nagar Mandi. This included crops like wheat, soybeans, etc. Meanwhile, there was a holiday of vaccination in Laxmibai Nagar Mandi, but vaccination continued in Cantonment and Choithram Fruit and Vegetable Market.
It is noteworthy that the administration had already ordered the opening of Cantonment and Laxmibai Nagar mandis, but it was decided not to open the mandis due to non-completion of the vaccination of traders, hammals and tulavatis. Mandis have been started only after about 80-90 percent vaccination is done in both the mandis. At present, only buying and selling of onions is allowed in Choithram Mandi.
The auction for fruits and vegetables is currently closed. Mandi Secretary Rameshchandra Parmar said that in the Cantonment and Laxmibai Nagar mandis, we are appealing to the traders, hammals and farmers to follow the protocol of Corona by getting the Munadis done continuously. After registering in both the mandis, farmers are being called to sell their goods by sending mobile messages. On Friday, messages were sent to 150 farmers for Chhawni Mandi and 80 for Laxmibai Nagar Mandi.
