Dr. Asha Shukla, Vice Chancellor of Dr. Ambedkar University of Mhow removed, there were complaints of irregularities
Based on the inquiry report of Indore Divisional Commissioner, the Higher Education Department took action
Bhopal (State Bureau) . Dr. BR Ambedkar University of Social Sciences, Mhow Vice Chancellor Dr. Asha Shukla was removed by the government on Friday. Along with this, Section 44 has been implemented in the university. There were other complaints against Dr. Shukla including financial irregularities along with non-compliance of procedure in appointments. Its investigation was done by the Divisional Commissioner of Indore. Based on the inquiry report, the Higher Education Department has taken this action. Additional Chief Secretary of the department, Shailendra Singh also issued its notification late in the evening. The department was getting complaints. Departmental Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav had given instructions to investigate it. The complaints were investigated by the Divisional Commissioner of Indore. On the basis of the report, the department decided to remove the Vice-Chancellor.
Departmental officers stated that expenditure was incurred during Panchayat Raj training without following the legal process. Procedures were also not followed in consultation and appointment of guest scholars. Schools were set up in the university without competent approval. During the investigation, when the original documents were sought in relation to complaints, they were not provided to the inquiry committee.
Dr.DK Sharma will be the vice-chancellor
After the removal of Dr. Asha Shukla from the post of Vice Chancellor of Dr. BR Ambedkar Social Sciences University, Mhow, Governor Mangubhai Patel appointed the new Vice Chancellor late in the evening. Dr.DK Sharma, a professor of Government Holkar Science College, has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor.
