CSP Kotwali Deepak Mishra said that 30 years old Sapna Patel, a resident of Kachiyana, committed suicide by hanging herself in the kitchen of the house on the intervening night of June 7-8. She was married to Amit Patel about six years ago. The information about the incident came to light due to the dispute between the husband and wife in the statement of the in-laws. When the statements of the maternal side were taken, dowry harassment came to light.
After the birth of the daughter started beating: The maternal side told the police that only after the marriage of Sapna, the in-laws started being tortured for dowry. Whereas at the time of marriage, more dowry material was given than the status. After a few years of marriage, Sapna gave birth to a daughter, after which husband Amit and other in-laws started beating her. By giving physical and mental torture, they started pressurizing to bring more dowry from the maternal home.
