Mahakal Temple Ujjain: Decision on entry to Ujjain’s Mahakal temple is possible after June 15
Mahakal Temple Ujjain: Ujjain (Representative of New World). Due to less corona infection, the scope of concession is increasing. In the meeting of the Disaster Management Committee held on Monday, permission was given to open shops in the district till 7 pm. Earlier this limit was till 6 pm. Meanwhile, the speculation regarding the entry of devotees in the Mahakal temple has come to an end.
There was no discussion on this in the meeting. Committee members told that any decision on this will be taken only after June 15. According to sources, vaccination certificate can be made mandatory for darshan. However, the final decision will be taken in the meeting itself.
The Mahakal temple is closed since April 12. After the infection subsided, there was a discussion on the beginning of unlocking in the district from June 1 that soon the process of darshan will start in other temples including Mahakal. This discussion gained further momentum when the Disaster Management Committee meeting was held on Monday. However, there was no discussion about opening the temple in the meeting. The members said that a decision will be taken on this only after June 15.
