Bhopal (State Bureau). The Election Commission of India has started preparations for the proposed assembly elections in November-December next year. For this, the work of preparing the voter list will start from December 8. Its preparation will be from 4th August to October. Before this, from August 1, the work of collecting Aadhaar numbers of voters will be started. Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan informed about the program of voter list through video conferencing to the collectors on Wednesday.

He told that the short revision work of voter list in November . All the preparations for this will be done from August 4 24 to the middle of October. The preliminary publication of the voter list will take place on November 9 and from this day till December 8, applications for adding names and objections will be taken. Applications will be resolved by December and January 5 2019 will be the final publication of the voter list. Before this, from August 1, the information about the Aadhaar number of the voters will be taken. Voters who do not have Aadhar card will be able to present other documents.

He asked the collectors to hold a meeting of political parties on August 1 and inform them about the program related to the voter list. . On the same day, booth level officers, officers and employees should also enter their own Aadhaar numbers. Now the qualifying date for adding names in the voter list will be January 1 along with April 1, July 1 and October 1. During this period, the youth who attain the age of 18 can get their name included in the voter list. Will be eligible. With this, new voters will not have to wait on January 1 to get their names included in the list.
