In this fight between the two, Daksha the female cheetah died. This is the third death of a cheetah brought from South Africa in two months. This is raising many questions on the park management. On Monday, the Union Ministry quoted a local news agency as saying that all the cheetahs resettled in Kuno from South Africa are healthy. Five of these will soon be released in the open. The rest will also be allowed to roam freely in the coming times. The mother cheetah named Daksha was brought from Namibia. Its earlier name was Finda. Uday and Sasha Cheetah, who were settled in Kuno National Park before Daksha, have died.

Daksha found in injured condition

Daksha monitoring team found a female cheetah released in Kuno National Park from South Africa in injured condition. Veterinarians gave him treatment, but he died at 30 in the afternoon. Daksha Cheetah was released in enclosure number one. Cheetah Coalition Vayu and Agni, brought from South Africa, were released in nearby shed number 7.
