Most industries are running only four to five days a week. Industries are working in turn with 10 percent of the workers, which has slowed down the economic pace of the industrial sector. According to the entrepreneurs, due to the lockdown implemented from April 16, the industries have lost about one and a half thousand crore rupees. There are about 500 small and big industries operating in the city with an annual turnover of around Rs 1 lakh crore. 56 thousand 542 people have been directly employed by these industries. So the same more than 20 thousand people have got indirect employment. But these days Corona has put most of the workers home during the crisis. The reason for this is the failure of factories to run at full capacity.

Antibiotic demand reduced, 40 percent production reduced
Casey Sharma, plant head of the Lupine Company, says that we make most of the antibiotic itself, but these days the consumption of antibiotic has reduced very much in the Corona period, people are not getting fever and they are taking care of cleanliness. Even those who are getting infected are getting infected with the corona. Due to this, the demand for antibiotic has decreased very fast. Our production has been affected up to 40 percent. Sharma says that these days, due to lack of demand and orders, only 60 percent are able to produce.

Even though the lockdown took place from April 16, the second wave of Corona had an effect on factories since March. Serious victims from Corona were in need of oxygen, so the district administration banned the supply of oxygen to the industries. Due to this, around 100 factories in the area have been closed by April. Workers working in these industries were also affected. Industries have lost about 100 crores in a month.

At the same time, the industry managers have implemented a formula to give workers work from three to four days apart with working days of four days a week, taking out the middle path. The workers are benefiting from this, that they do not have to sit at home in lockdown. Also, more than 15 days of duty is being received in the month. At the same time, Azad Jain, MD of Aditya Enterprises, says that everyone from Corona is in panic. The workers are so scared that they are not even coming to work. Like we are working with 10 percent laborers by any means, our production has also come down to 50- 60 percent.

Right now companies are facing many problems. The market is closed. Raw material is not available. Daily messages come to supply the goods. But neither Indore is open nor Mumbai. In such a situation, nothing can be found. So far, one and a half thousand crores have been lost to the industries in the last 15 days due to the lockdown.
