There are about 500 small and big industries operating in the city with an annual turnover of around Rs 1 lakh crore. 56 thousand 542 people have been directly employed by these industries. So the same more than 20 thousand people have got indirect employment. But these days Corona has put most of the workers home during the crisis. The reason for this is the failure of factories to run at full capacity.

Casey Sharma, plant head of the Lupine Company, says that we make most of the antibiotic itself, but these days the consumption of antibiotic has reduced very much in the Corona period, people are not getting fever and they are taking care of cleanliness. Even those who are getting infected are getting infected with the corona. Due to this, the demand for antibiotic has decreased very fast. Our production has been affected up to 40 percent. Sharma says that these days, due to lack of demand and orders, only 60 percent are able to produce.
