Gwalior Water supply News: Gwalior (Naiduniya Representative). Three filter plants remained closed due to the seven-hour shutdown to find leakage in Tighra Dam. Due to the shutdown, a population of about eight lakh was affected. Water supply will be normal from today. Last day, the Water Resources Department had launched a Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV) into the water to investigate the leakage in Tighra dam. Videography of the dam wall was done, in which about leakages were seen.
Seven hours shutdown was done from Tighra to find leakage and water supply from Tighra to Municipal Corporation’s filter plants was stopped which was started at 7.30 pm. Even after opening the shutdown, in the process of water reaching and filtration at Motijheel, Tighra and Jalalpur plants 26 to hour’s time, due to which the tanks could not be filled completely overnight. On the other hand, on Saturday, the 72 tanks of the South Assembly constituency could fill half, due to which water came with low pressure and half the population could not reach After five o’clock in the evening, water was supplied by PHE in Vinay Nagar Sector-1,2,3, Bahodapur, Gol Paharia, Suburban and Murar areas.
Water supply remained affected in these areas
– Huravali, Daparna Colony, Suresh Nagar, Ashok Colony, Krishna Nagar, Jaderua, Shatabdipuram, Kunj Vihar, Amaltas, Pintu Park, Shiv Colony, Maharajpura, Amethi, AB Road Gol Paharia, Sewa Nagar, Hazira, Tulsi Vihar, Chauhan Plau, Thatipur Area, Harnam Bajaria, Darpan Colony, New Water at many places in Gwalior, east and rural assembly constituencies including Tulsi Vihar, Sharda Vihar, Collectorate, DIET, RKVM, Risala Bazar, Scindia Nagar, BSF Colony, Railway Colony, Deendayal Nagar, Meera Nagar, Bhimnagar, Shivaji Nagar, Ramjika Pura Could not supply.
