Social activist Zakir Abbasi and Underbridge Banao Committee asked the Indore High Court not to close the railway gate or repeat the order of January 8, 2021, after the railways ordered closure of the main railway level crossing 46B special gate on the Delhi-Mumbai rail route. In this regard, a public interest litigation was filed in the court on 6 February 2021. Hearing this, the High Court passed an order on 8 June 2021 saying that the gate has not been closed by the Railways as per the order dated 9 January 2021. Therefore, the matter will not be heard.

It has been said by the court that if the railway orders to close the gate in future, then the petitioner should discuss with the competent officers of the railways not to close the gate, yet the railway orders to close the gate in future, then the petitioner will be liable for that order. The High Court can come and take a stay order against it in four weeks. The court is ready to hear the matter. The petitioner was represented by Shyam Singh Tanwar, Vinod Kaushal and Sushil Sharma Advocates. Here the railway has built an overbridge near Muktidham at a cost of 28 crores. Which was inaugurated by Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Dung and MP Sudhir Gupta on December 25, 2020, but the traffic from the over bridge is decreasing very little due to the more than four km distance from the overbridge. Therefore, the demand for not closing the gate or under pass was raised. 25 percent population of the city in which ward 13, 14 and 15 are. If the gate is closed, then the final journey will also be four km more due to being on the other side of Muktidham city and the graveyard on the other side.
