Jabalpur, Naiduniya representative. The unseasonal rains have put the farmers and administration on their toes. Wherever wheat is lying outside in the procurement centres, wheat got wet on a large scale, and there is a strong possibility of spoilage. Information about damage is being received in many villages. There has been a drop in temperature for the last one week. Water is also falling continuously. This is the condition of the entire district. But the rain since last Saturday afternoon took everyone by surprise. Today on Monday also it rained intermittently throughout the day. It is reported to rain for two to two and a half hours at many places in the rural areas. Teams of officers have also started running towards the rural areas to take stock of the damage caused due to this. There is a possibility of large-scale damage to urad in the fields of Ghughra Kala, Ghughra Khurd, Bamhori and Chanti. In such a situation, if the soil dries up in a day or two and the weather opens up, then the crops will be saved to a large extent. But if the moisture remains intact in the fields and the water recedes then urad-moong can suffer a lot.

The procurement work has remained closed on Saturday and Sunday. That’s why wheat was not available in the open at most of the procurement centres. Despite this, there were many centers like Baroda Kaladumar, where thousands of quintals of wheat were lying in the open and got completely soaked.
