It has been 15 months since the Corona Infections began to meet in the city. On 24 March 2020, Corona patients were found for the first time in the city. Not a single day has come since then on which no new infection has been found. The second wave of Corona, which started in mid-March, has changed the appearance of the city itself. In the first 17 days of May, 27 thousand 775 newcomers have been found. That is, 1634 patients per day on an average. From this perspective, a new infected is being found in the city every minute. In these 17 days, on an average 10 thousand samples were tested daily.

Recovery rate reached 96 percent
It is a matter of relief that in May, the average percentage of people fighting Corona has increased. In 17 days of May, 26 thousand 829 patients recovered and reached home. That means the recovery rate was 96.59 percent. From 24 March 2020 to 17 May 2021, the total number of defeats of Corona in the city has been 126362. While 140447 infected were found during this period. That is, an average of 90 percent of the infected have recovered and reached their homes.
