Sports ground should not be given for political and other plans

Burhanpur (Naiduniya Representative). The demand for keeping the main sports ground of the city, Nehru Stadium and the sports ground of Subhash School, has been raised by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP). Municipal co-minister of the organization Shubh Patil and other members have submitted a memorandum in the name of Municipal Commissioner SK Singh on Monday. In which there has been a demand that these playgrounds should not be given for political and other events. The students said that due to the Corona period, the players were not able to practice properly for the first two years. After the relief from Corona, they want to focus on sports, but due to various types of events, the playing field has deteriorated. Due to which the players are facing problems. Various types of construction are going on in Nehru Stadium for a long time, but till now the work has not been completed. In this regard, the High Court had also directed in one of its orders to use the playground only for sports related events. Despite this, political and other events are still being held in these. If the demand is not met, the student council has warned of agitation.

Mohammed Merchant Appointed Assistant Board President

ROTARY The club has appointed Mohd Merchant, an active member, as the Assistant Circle President of the Mandal 3040. Sandeep Sakalkar, District President of Rotary Club said that the Rotary family is associated with Merchant 1992. During this time he has also been Secretary, President of Rotaract Club and twice Secretary and President of Rotary Club. In view of these services of the merchant, the year 2022- Mandal President Jinendra Jain has entrusted him with the responsibility of Assistant Circle President. Secretary Lalit Jain said that the Assistant Circle President’s workshop was organized in Indore last day. In which the board president handed over the appointment letter and graduation certificate to Mohammad Merchant. During this, Assistant Secretary Praveen Chapekar, Managing Executive Member of Red Cross Tanseem Merchant were also present.
