Rajaram’s wife along with daughters reached the SDM office on Friday and denied any pressure. Rajaram told in his complaint that Aftab had forcibly kept his wife at his house. His two daughters aged seven and eight are also living with their mother. When he went to meet the daughters, he told in tears that they were asked to wear burqas and go to madrassas. He has urged the administration to free the wife and daughters from Aftab’s house. In this regard, Harshal Chowdhary told that he has given Rajaram’s complaint to the police for investigation.

Rajaram’s wife came to his office with daughters on Friday. She has told in writing that she was harassed by her husband, so she is living with her brother in a separate house in the city. The woman has denied any coercion.

Child commission issued notice

After this complaint, the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights has issued a notice to the Collector and the SP asking them to submit the report in three days. Commission Chairman Priyanka Kanungo told that in the notice The statements of the children have been asked to be taken before the Child Welfare Committee. He said that the district administration has been asked to investigate and make proper arrangements for the education of both the daughters.
