There was a sit-in protest for about three hours. On Tuesday, all the banks involved in the strike remained closed.
This nationwide strike was called by the All India Bank United Forum of Bank Unions against the anti-worker policies of the central government and outsourced. Union secretary Pramod Chaturvedi said that the employees of the nationalized banks took a collective leave and participated in it. Banks have started levying charges on transactions. Bank of India will be on strike today
Banks will open on Wednesday after the nationwide two-day strike of nationalized banks ends on Tuesday. At the same time, all branches of Bank of India will remain closed on Wednesday as well. Union Secretary Pramod Chaturvedi told that only the officers and employees of Bank of India will be on strike regarding the policy matters related to the bank including outsource.
