Reservation in Promotion in MP: Bhopal (State Bureau). The Supreme Court is continuously hearing the reservation case in promotion. In the hearing held on Thursday, there was a debate on representation of general and scheduled caste-tribe employees in the job, creamy layer and administrative efficiency. In the cases, only the doubles bench will decide. This Court will clear the confusion regarding the guidelines laid down by the Constitution Bench in the cases of M Nagaraj and Jarnail Singh. The next hearing in the case has been fixed on October.
Madhya Pradesh High Court 33 April 2002 has been dismissed as “Madhya Pradesh Public Service (Promotion) Rules 582”. There is a ban on the promotion of officers and employees in the state. Against this decision, the Madhya Pradesh government has filed a petition in the Supreme Court, which is being heard. It is said that on Tuesday, the Supreme Court bench will complete the hearing in all the remaining cases
