In view of the severe heat and sowing of kharif season in the district, shops of manure-seed and electronics goods will be opened in a period of three hours from Monday to noon. This decision was taken in the meeting of the disaster management committee held at the collectorate on Saturday evening. At the same time the lock-down period has been extended by a week to maintain the decreasing infection rate of the corona. Now the district will continue to lock down as Corona curfew till 6 am on May 24.

Before that, the lock-down was extended from the morning of May 10 to May 17. It is agreed to extend the lock-down period for the fifth time in the meeting on Saturday. The lock down continues in the district from April 9 last month. In the current lock-down period, the home delivery system of fruits, vegetables and milk will continue as before. Corona in-charge Minister Premsingh Patel, Rajya Sabha Member Dr. Sumersinh Solanki, Collector Shivraj Singh Verma, Superintendent of Police Nimish Aggarwal, Additional Collector Lokesh Jangid, CEO Rituraj Singh, Additional Collector Rekha Rathore, including the people’s representatives and non-government members were present in the meeting.

Public representatives said that black fungus is growing rapidly in the state. The government is arranging its treatment in big cities. As a precaution, instructions have been given to change the normal saline daily in the flow meter at the time of oxygen supply to the corona patients in the district. Also, instructions are being given to private hospitals so that black fungus can be stopped. At the same time, Khetia demanded to provide oxygen concentrator machine in Kovid Care.
